On 26 September, Nalanda Sungai Petani members congregated to celebrate Members’ Day. During the Dhamma sharing session, Sis. Siew Chin spoke on the virtues of the Buddha. She said when we recite Buddhanusati, the recollection of the Buddha, we are reminding ourselves of the sublime qualities of the Buddha, which help us to strengthen our faith and respect towards the Teacher.

Dozens of stalls will be offering visitors a variety of food, beverages, souvenirs, and merchandise. The ‘Fun Fair’ is held in aid of our ‘Education & Development Fund’. Proceeds from the Fair will be channeled to support educational programmes of Nalanda Free School, Dhamma School and Library.

Seng Giap reminded members to reflect on the Dhamma teachings taught by Bro. Tan on 17 July and to practice in our daily lives. After an interactive discussion, members agreed on a list of qualities, including faith, generosity and virtues for cultivation towards a good practitioner and good friend.
