On Sunday 23 November, Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch held its ‘Sangha Day’ in Happy Garden, Kuala Lumpur. The programme began with meditation, pūja and chanting, followed by a Dhamma talk by Bro. Ānanda Fong who shared on the significance of offering to the Sangha.

After the alms-round, the venerables adjourned to NEO Centre Happy Garden for lunch dāna. Ajahn Sujato from Australia was later invited to deliver a Dhamma talk to the congregation there.

Fong updated members on the proposed building plans for NEO Centre Sungai Petani with beautiful slides. They briefed members of the procedures ahead – to obtain members’ approval for the plan and thereafter to call tenders.

Read moreOn Saturday 22 November, Nalanda Johor Bahru Branch Free School teachers and facilitators gathered for dinner at NEO Centre, Johor Bahru. Sis. Ng Choy Hoong, the Johor Bahru Branch Free School Coordinator welcomed and thanked all teachers and facilitators for their contributions in making the Free School a success. The Free School classes started in March this year with a total of 15 classes held each week. Sis. Choy Hoong gave a slide presentation on the activities carried out this year and plans for 2015.

Volunteers and devotees gathered at Nalanda Education & Outreach (NEO) Centre Kuala Lumpur as early as 7.00am to start the day with pūja and chanting before proceeding to the nearby Sri Petaling market at 8.30am.
