Junior Dhamma School students cultivate respect and gratitude

On 3 to 5 March, 48 students and facilitators from Nalanda Junior Dhamma School spent the school holidays at Nalanda Centre to learn Dhamma and strengthen their bonds with spiritual friends.  Over the three-day programme, the students developed a better understanding of the theme “Three Jewels – My Faith and Refuge”.

Teenagers discover true blessings in life

On 18 to 20 February, 45 Nalanda Dhamma School students started their school holidays meaningfully with a stay-in programme in Wisdom Park.  Over the 3 days, students explored the theme of “Blessings in Life” to better understanding the true blessings as taught by the Buddha.

Gratitude & love at ‘Tea-Offering Ceremony’

On Sunday 12 February, devotees, volunteers and Dhamma School students gathered at Nalanda Centre to join the “Tea-offering Ceremony” and Gratitude Day, the first held since the pandemic.  This annual tradition is hosted by Nalanda Dhamma School and is an opportunity for us to express our appreciation to our parents, teachers and elders for their support and care.

Best wishes to SPM candidates

Tomorrow, on Monday 20 January, over 400,000 students will start their SPM (‘O’–Level) exams, a major milestone public examination in Malaysia for secondary school students.  Nalanda wishes our Dhamma School and Free School students who are sitting for the exams as well as other candidates throughout the country – all the best!

Gratitude abounds at Dhamma School Appreciation & Honours Day

Last Saturday 31 December, on the last day of 2022, Nalanda Dhamma School facilitators, volunteers, students, and their parents gathered at Nalanda Centre for the annual “Appreciation & Honours Day”.  The first held since the pandemic, it was a time for everyone to reflect and rejoice in their effort and commitment to learning throughout the year.

On the long holiday weekend of 24 to 26 December,  over 100 participants and volunteers gathered for the inaugural ‘Dhamma-living Camp for Families’ at Wisdom Park.   This family camp turned into an extraordinary opportunity for parents and children to bond with each other as they explored the theme “Gratitude is my attitude”.

1 January 2023 marks the 18th Anniversary of Nalanda Dhamma School. Welcome to Dhamma-living camp for families

The inaugural Dhamma-living Camp for Families starts tomorrow morning at Wisdom Park.  Volunteers and Dhamma School facilitators have been enthusiastically preparing the programme, activities & facilities over the past few weeks, and are now ready to welcome parents and their children.  We look forward to seeing our participants tomorrow and wish everyone a safe journey!
