7 July 2007 (popularly celebrated back then as “777”) witnessed the first programme ever organized by the newly-established ‘Nalanda Institute Malaysia’. It was the ‘BPS138 Commentarial Course on Mangala Sutta’, conducted by Nalanda Institute’s Founder-Director Bro. H S Tan. The main hall of the old ‘Nalanda Dharma Centre’ was packed with more than 70 participants all deeply inspired after attending the full-day course.
