Celebrating selfless service at National Camp for Dhamma School teachers

This morning, 70 Dhamma School teachers from across Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore planted the ‘Bunga Tanjung’ (Mimusops elengi) tree, dedicating it to teachers during the 2nd National Camp for Dhamma School teachers at Wisdom Park.

Reflecting that this tree has the potential to mature and offer shade, fragrant flowers and fruits to its surrounding fauna, so too do teachers who train and grow to give care, knowledge and impart values for the development of their students.  Moreover, Dhamma School teachers who share the Buddha’s teachings ground their students in wholesome values which benefit them throughout their lives.

The Camp is currently ongoing, until tomorrow, with more learning and experiential activities.  We wish the participants joyful learning and reflections as they continue to explore  ‘Education of the Heart’.   Sukhi hontu.
