The Sultanah Aminah Hospital is a major healthcare facility in Southern Malaysia.

Nalandians offer our deepest condolences to the families of patients at Johor Bahru’s Sultanah Aminah Hospital who perished in a fire yesterday, 25 October.  The blaze occurred at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where all six casualties were warded.  As a result of the fire, other patients and staff at the hospital were temporarily evacuated from the building.

Today, another fire broke out at the operating theatre of the hospital, causing another round of panic.  Fortunately, no one was injured in this afternoon’s blaze.  We pray that the operations at the hospital will be back to normal soonest.  And may the deceased rest in peace.  Sotthi.
