Today, over 120 Nalanda members and devotees gathered at Nalanda Centre for Dhammacakka Day, to commemorate the auspicious occasion when the first discourse was preached by the Buddha on the Asalha full-moon after his Enlightenment.
The recitation of the Dhammacakkappavatana Sutta reverberated throughout Nalanda Centre, as the congregation devotedly chanted this prominent teaching which summarised the profound Dhamma. In the teaching by Achariya S. Vijaya on the Four Noble Truths, he expanded on the Four Noble Truths and the importance of seeing the realities of life.
‘Some people deem Sukha (happiness) as Dukkha (unease) and some deem Dukkha as Sukha. But when we live and practise Dhamma with understanding, there will be no Dukkha.” We extend our gratitude to Ach. Vijaya for his teaching and wish him good health and happiness. Sukhihontu.
