Countdown – 3 days to NEO Centre KL Officiating Ceremony

The installation of the Buddha-rupam was witnessed by venerable monks, Nalanda members & volunteers.

On Saturday 3 December, the community around Happy Garden joyfully participated in the Pindacāra (monks on alms-round) programme to support the Mahā Sangha.  This monthly programme, organised by Nalanda Branch KL since 2012, enables the laity in the vicinity to learn and practise the spirit of dāna even as they go about their householder duties.

After the morning neighbourhood engagement, members and volunteers proceeded back to NEO Centre KL for the installation of the Buddha-rupam.  Everyone rejoiced as the Buddha image was placed on the new altar, with the blessings of the venerable monks.  The same image was previously installed at the original Centre back in 2011.

We extend our appreciation to venerable sirs for supporting us in these meritorious events and thank all members, volunteers and devotees for their active participation.  Sadhu anumodana.

At 8.30am, venerable monks were accompanied by volunteers as they went on alms-round at the OUG market.

With reverence, devotees made offerings of cooked food and fruits to the monks.

Venerable sir gave words of advise to the congregation.

As a symbol of blessings, venerable sir sprinkled water at the end of the programme.

Everyone offered lunch dana to the monks and wished them good health.

We thank everyone for joining and supporting us at NEO Centre Happy Garden.
