This afternoon, Nalanda Dhamma School Director Sis. Sunanda Ong led a group of 30 youths and students on a mission to Johor Bahru to help conduct a holiday Dhamma-learning camp there.

The 4-day camp starting tomorrow is specially designed for teenagers between 13 and 17 years old.  Through dramatizing stories from Buddhist scriptures, participants will get to learn noble qualities of our great teacher the Buddha, and thereon ennoble their own characters with Dhamma practice.

Before departing Nalanda Centre at 2.00pm, Nalandian youths and students took leave from their teacher Bro. Tan, who advised them to maintain mindfulness and precepts well.  He later handed over the Buddhist and Nalanda flags to the captains of ‘Naga House’ and ‘Garuda House’, who are jointly leading the student team to Johor Bahru.

We wish all our wonderful Dhamma School facilitators and students a safe return journey, and a great learning experience in Johor!  Sadhu anumodana.

The youths embarking on the journey with great enthusiasm and in high spirits!  Sadhu.
