Dhammajoti, a Malaysian monk of Chinese descent and a leading scholar on the Abhidhamma, on Sunday 31 December at Nalanda Centre. Let us gather on this final Sunday Morning Service of the year to learn from Ven. Dhammajoti on the topic of “The Buddhist spiritual journey to true freedom — transformation of the total being” with spiritual friends.

Ven. Dhammajoti graduated from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka with a doctorate in philosophy. His teaching career started in 1982 as a senior lecturer with the university and became a professor 10 years later.

Ven. Dhammajoti is also the founding editor of the Journal of Buddhist Studies in Sri Lanka. Since 2016, Venerable Dhammajoti has been a chair professor with the School of Philosophy at Renmin University of China, hosting Dharma seminars in Beijing annually.
