We invite you to join us tomorrow, Monday 24 July, for a Dhamma teaching by Ven. Prof Dhammajoti, a Malaysian monk of Chinese descent, and one of the leading scholars on the Abhidhamma.  Ven. Dhammajoti graduated from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka with a doctorate in philosophy.  His teaching career started in 1982 as a senior lecturer with the university and became a professor 10 years later.

In 2000, he held the Numata Chair in Buddhist Studies at the University of Calgary.  The founding editor of the Journal of Buddhist Studies in Sri Lanka, he was awarded in 2004, an endowed professorship in Buddhist Studies by the University of Hong Kong. In 2015, he founded The Buddha-Dharma Centre of Hong Kong. Since 2016, Venerable Dhammajoti has been a chair professor with the School of Philosophy at Renmin University of China, hosting Dharma seminars in Beijing annually.
