‘Dhammacakka Day’ at Nalanda

‘Dhammacakka Day’ at Nalanda

Dhammacakka Day - 2016.

We welcome everyone to participate in this auspicious day of spiritual learning, practice and contemplation.

Tomorrow*, we will be observing ‘Dhammacakka Day’ at Nalanda Centre.  There will be the customary offerings, meditation, and recitation of the celebrated “Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta” – the Buddha’s inaugural discourse after Enlightenment on the Four Noble Truths.

Nalanda founder Bro. Tan will be giving an important teaching on the link between wisdom and liberation from suffering.  Following that, we will be offering lunch to Sangha members.  You may bring along cooked vegetarian food for the dāna.  We welcome everyone to participate in this auspicious day of spiritual learning, practice and contemplation.  Thank you and mettā.

* NOTE :

The full-moon day of Asalha month is celebrated as ‘Dhamma Day’ at Nalanda.  This year, it falls on Monday, 18 July.  In addition, the closest Sunday to it (which is tomorrow, 17 July) is celebrated as ‘Dhammacakka Day’.
