Dharma Drum Mountain teachers visit Nalanda

Venerables Chang Ying and Chang Yuan admiring the Buddha-Altar in the Main Shrine.

On Friday 18 July, Nalanda Centre was honoured by the visit of two senior monastic teachers from Dharma Drum Mountain (法鼓山), one of the largest Buddhist organisations in Taiwan, which was founded by the late Venerable Master Sheng Yen.

Venerables Chang Ying (常应法师) and Chang Yuan (常源法师) were in Malaysia to conduct a 5-day meditation retreat; and Nalanda Centre became the first stop in their itinerary.  The venerables were brought on a tour of Nalanda by Bro. Charlie and Sis. Nandini.  They later met with Founder Bro. Tan for a fruitful discussion on aspects of Buddhist education.  The venerables joyfully spent 3 hours at Nalanda Centre before taking leave with insightful memories.  Thank you for visiting Nalanda.
