21 July 2024 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
According to Theravada tradition, Asalha (month) Full-moon Day marks the anniversaries of the Bodhisatta’s Conception, His Great Renunciation, and the Buddha’s preaching of the first sermon – the ‘Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta’ (Discourse on ‘Turning the Wheel of Dhamma’).
Join us on 21 July ‘Dhammacakka Day’, for chanting, meditation, and a Dhamma talk by Ach. S. Vijaya to lead our reflection on how the ending of defilements is for one who knows and sees the Four Noble Truths. Following that, there will be a Sanghika Dāna (offering of lunch) to venerable monks. Devotees may bring along cooked vegetarian food as offerings.
We look forward to seeing you at Nalanda Centre for this weekend’s meaningful and holistic ‘Dhamma Day’ and ‘Dhammacakka Day’ Observance. Svagatam, all are welcome!
