Ven. Ajahn Cagino (born in 1967, Seremban Malaysia) was a renowned professional photographer before he was ordained in 1997. He has since accumulated 21 vassa and is a member of Ajahn Chah monastic community.
Ven. Ajahn Cagino wandered over 4,000 km on foot in the forest of Thailand, documenting the daily lives of forest monks through his photography. In 2010, he founded the Dhammagiri Foundation in Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand, a Buddhist children’s home that provides Dhamma education for hill tribe children.
In 2014, he established Wat Hongson Wanaram (the 302nd branch of Wat Nong Pah Pong). Ven. Ajahn Cagino took residence in a hermitage at Wat Phra That Doi Kham (Reclining Buddha Temple) in Chiang Mai, dedicating himself to intensive practice.

Due to changing circumstances, we would like to inform that the Mandarin Dhamma talk on Sunday 6 April will be conducted by Phra Mahāpuñño who is from Terengganu, Malaysia. He ordained as a samanera under Ajahn Cagino in 2018 at Wat Hongsong Wanaram. In 2020, he received full ordination under Luang Pu Anek at Thai Forest Monastery, Wat Pa Sai Ngam. Currently, Phra Mahāpuñño resides at Wat Hongson Wanaram, focusing on meditation practice. With a mission to propagate the Dhamma, Phra Mahāpuñño teaches the Dhamma to the children at Dhammagiri Foundation.
