Experiencing joy through kindful deeds

Venerable monks are briefed about the programme flow for the day.

Last Saturday, 15 February, the local community at Seri Kembangan gathered in a festive mood at the monthly Pindacāra (monks on alms-round) programme. This round, volunteers were joined by Nalanda Dhamma School students, as a reward for their teamwork during the School’s Orientation Camp.

As market-goers observed the diligent and cheerful approaches by the young volunteers, some of the parents encouraged their younger children to perform food offerings to the Sangha members, having understood the spirit in this act of giving.

As smiles spread across their faces, so too did joy linger in all our hearts. We are warmed to witness how one kind deed leads to another, and rejoice in the kind intentions of so many in the community. Sadhu anumodana.
