Beginning Sunday, Nalanda will observe its 4th ‘Gimhāna Retreat’ lasting 7 weeks – from 17 May to 1 July. The Annual ‘Gimhāna Retreat’ focuses on one’s spiritual growth and personal transformation effected through the Dhamma. During this period, everyone is encouraged to commit to progressive Dhamma learning and deeper spiritual cultivation.
The theme for this year’s ‘Gimhāna’ is ‘Being a Good Practitioner and Good Friend’. Over the course of the retreat, this theme will be further explored to induce a deeper understanding of Dhamma. By learning to be ‘a good practitioner and friend’, we can grow with grace, wisdom and happiness, and lead more meaningful lives.
This Sunday we are also honoured to host Venerable K. Siridhamma Thero on his visit to Nalanda Dharma School. Ven. Siridhamma is the Principal of Buddhist Institute Sunday Dhamma School (BISDS) at Buddhist Māha Vihāra. We welcome everyone to bring cooked vegetarian food if you would like to offer him lunch dāna.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Nalanda Centre during the ‘Gimhāna Retreat’. Come and understand the Dhamma better through guided, communal practice. Sadhu!
