Recent-year reports by the Malaysian Ministry of Health and World Health Organization (WHO) show a rapid and alarming increase in mental-health problems. It is estimated that one out of three Malaysian adults show signs of mental discomfort and illness to varying degrees. This is certainly much cause for public concern.
In response to the mental-health crisis that we are facing today, Nalanda Institute Malaysia is organising a Dhamma Forum themed the ‘Path to Mental Well-being’, in which we will discuss how one can overcome mental suffering and explore ways to develop well-being. The public forum will be held on Sunday, 7 October, at Nalanda Centre Sri Serdang.
We invite you to join us for the forum which will feature Nalanda founder, Bro. Tan; consultant psychiatrist Dr. Phang Cheng Kar; and psychologist Ms. May Liu. Nalanda Institute Director Achariya Tan Siang Chye will be moderating the panelist discussion. All are welcome!
