On Saturday 1 March, Nalanda Kuala Lumpur branch members and volunteers joyfully conducted the monthly Pindacāra programme at O.U.G. and Happy Garden markets, led by Ven. Rahula and Ven. Buddhananda. It is heartwarming to see marketgoers and traders, both new and regular, enthusiastically offering cooked food, fruits and requisites to the monks on alms-round. Nalanda members and volunteers also shared information regarding the Pindacāra programme, whilst encouraging onlookers to perform this good deed.
During the Dhamma sharing at lunch dāna, Ven. Rahula highlighted how Pindacāra fosters awareness of the monastic presence, and the support required from the laity. It provides opportunities for the laity to perform acts of merit and cultivate generosity through giving (dāna). Ven. Rahula further encouraged members and volunteers to continue their meaningful service with joy and mindfulness. Sadhu anumodāna!
