“The performance of good actions gives rise to merit (punna), a quality which purifies and cleanses the mind.”
“What Buddhists Believe” by Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda
Nalanda is organising a pindacara (alms round) at Taman O.U.G. morning market on Saturday, 2 June 2012 at 8.30am. The pindacara aims to provide an avenue for the public to perform dana (offering) and promote awareness of how lay devotees and Sangha members (monks and nuns) can mutually support each other.
As Buddhists, we practise dana to develop the wholesome quality of generosity within and around us. As we physically engage in the act of giving, we also “cleanse” ourselves mentally and spiritually, and in the process, become a happier and more peaceful person.
Come and do good, then feel good! We will gather at NEO @ Happy Garden by 7.30am. You may bring cooked food to offer.
For further queries, please contact Bro. Yap at 012-226 2399 or Nalanda Centre at 03-8938 1500.
We look forward to your participation!
