Nalanda organizes 3 special retreats annually – the ‘Hemanta’ in January, ‘Gimhana’ in June-July, and ‘Vassana’ in October-November. Each of these 3 retreats focuses on different aspects of personal, communal and spiritual growth.
The ‘Hemanta Retreat’ focuses more on ways to live peacefully, happily and successfully in a community. The ‘Vassana Retreat’ focuses on enhancing personal growth and enriching the community through altruistic service. The’Gimhana Retreat’ spanning almost 7 weeks is the longest one at Nalanda. It focuses on one’s spiritual growth, and personal transformation effected through the Dhamma.
The ‘Gimhana Retreat’ starts this Saturday, from 8 June to 22 July, themed ‘The Snake’. During this period, Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan will be giving 4 teachings on Sundays, and 6 teachings on Wednesdays (together with guided meditation). The Service Sundays are from 9am to 12pm. The Wednesday sessions are from 8pm to 10pm. Come and learn Dhamma from good teachers and listen to their inspiring teachings.
Kindly share this great learning opportunity with our family, relatives and friends. All are welcome!
