Today is ‘Patron’s Day’ and this year’s commemoration spanned three days on 15, 16 & 18 March, as members and devotees gathered for programmes to learn and deepen their understanding of the contributions of many benefactors, supporters and donors, particularly our late Spiritual Advisor Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda.
Students of the late Ven. Dhammananda shared heart-felt stories of their time with him, learning Dhamma and life lessons – Bro. Benny at the Meet-the Author session on the book – “K. Sri Dhammananda – A Pictorial Retrospect” on Saturday 15 March, and Bro. Tan Siang Chye who delivered a Dhamma talk on the meaning of Patron’s Day at the Service on Sunday 16 March.
With much gratitude for his contributions which continue to be felt today, members and devotees paid homage at the memorial stupa of the late Ven. Dhammananda at the Buddhist Mahā Vihara in Brickfields this morning, Tuesday 18 March. Throughout the commemoration, we dedicated merits with all our benefactors, past and present, and also shared merits to those who have passed away. Sukhi hontu.
