“Happy 5” – Tips for Chinese New Year

Dr. Phang gave an interesting talk on “Happy 5” – Tips for Chinese New Year.

On Sunday 8 February, Dr. Phang Cheng Kar gave an interesting Dhamma talk on “Happy 5 Chinese New Year” with many stories and anecdotes, much to the delight of devotees.  Dr. Phang shared five tips on finding happiness for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

The first tip was to eat mindfully and stay healthy.  Secondly, one should not be obsessed by horoscopes!  When we take care of our kamma, things will naturally be in order.  Thirdly, compare not with other people but focus instead on our own strength.  All of us have different roles in life and all are equally important.

Dr. Phang gave a wonderful talk to the delight of devotees.

Fourthly, realise that ‘Health is the greatest gain’ and ‘Contentment is the greatest wealth’.  Last but not least, appreciate our loved ones, relatives and friends; and live in the present moment.

Devotees appreciating Dr. Phang’s sharing.

Devotees were clearly impressed and appreciative of Dr. Phang’s wonderful sharing.  The weekly Service Sunday concluded joyfully with dedication of merits to all beings.  Sadhu anumodana.

Doing daily meditation helps us to calm our minds.
