Today is the full-moon of the first lunar month, and thus marks the ending of the 15-day Lunar New Year celebrations. In Malaysia, this festival is popularly known as “Chap Goh Meh” (literally, ‘the fifteenth night’) in the local Hokkien dialect, and is a significant day for the Chinese community.
Families traditionally mark the festival with dinner reunions and counting their blessings. Friends wish each other ‘the best of luck’ for the months ahead. Couples reaffirm their love and mutual appreciation.
Nalanda wishes everyone who celebrates “Chap Goh Meh” a joyful, wholesome and fulfilling time! May you be blessed with good conditions for further spiritual progress. Sukhihontu.
