Happy International Volunteers Day

Happy International Volunteers Day

Nalandians at the Volunteer Training Session conducted recently in preparing for the Officiating Ceremony of the new NEO Centre in Happy Garden, KL.

Today, 5 December is International Volunteer Day (IVD), an annual celebration for organisations and volunteers to commemorate their efforts and share their values.  This year’s theme “Solidarity through volunteering” highlights the power of our collective humanity to drive positive change through volunteerism.

When a group of like-minded people work together to carry out a wholesome mission, they are able to develop solutions to challenges and for the common good.  The qualities of compassion, humility, respect and trust form the foundation of our efforts which enable us to reap both positive outcomes and deep altruistic joy from our service.

Nalanda extends our thanks and appreciation to our volunteers for their unwavering support which enabled the Society to deliver all our educational and Dhamma programmes throughout the years.  May you and all selfless volunteers across the world rejoice in your good deeds.  Sadhu anumodana.
