‘Happy Young Adults’ explore well-being in life

Being part of a supportive environment greatly helps us progress in a balanced manner.

On Tuesday 19 March, 30 youths came together at Nalanda Book Café Community Centre to explore ways to develop ourselves holistically at the Happy Young Adults programme.  Guided by Bro. Tan Siang Chye, the group consisted mainly of young adults who are at the start of their careers, often facing similar challenges at work.

When we emerge from the protective circle of our parents and schools, we will find ourselves navigating unfamiliar grounds.  To progress confidently, we need to be true to our values and find meaning in the work we do.  By upholding the principle of no harm to others and developing a better understanding of ourselves, we will then start to build our reputation socially as well as good work relationships.

The session commences with chanting.

Bro. Tan Siang Chye explains how we can achieve a more balanced well-being in life.

Bro. Khoo hosts the group.

We look forward to hosting the participants for the second session on Tuesday 26 March, for an evening of camaraderie and learning with good friends.  See you tomorrow!
