Nalanda Centre recently hosted the renowned social-reformer and inspiring teacher – Venerable Sanghasena Mahathera – on his trip to Malaysia.  Ven. Sanghasena, who is the Founder and President of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre in Ladakh, arrived from India for a 3-day visit from 18th to 20th April.

While residing at Nalanda Centre, devotees took the opportunity to offer dāna to Ven. Sanghasena.  He was also hosted to lunch dāna on 19 April at Nalanda Book Café in Sri Petaling.  In the same evening, Ven. Sanghasena gave an uplifting talk on “Compassion in Action” to a large gathering at Nalanda Centre.

Nalanda founder Bro. Tan took time to accompany Ven. Sanghasena on his courtesy visits to the Buddhist Maha Vihara and the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.  Nalandians found much delight in meeting and associating with such a peaceful and compassionate monk as Ven. Sanghasena.  Sadhu!
