In December 2016, Nalanda was honoured to host Venerable Ñanukkamsa and Venerable Alokavamsa, two well-practised Theravada bhikkhus from Indonesia.   After a warm reception, the venerables were brought on a building tour and invited to meet participants of the Children’s Learning Camp which was held at Nalanda Centre that time.

During their stay, devotees had the opportunity to offer the venerables dāna, as well as to ask them questions on the Dhamma.  We were also blessed to receive an enlightening Dhamma teaching by Ven. Ñanukkamsa on the purpose of becoming a Buddhist on Wednesday, 21 December.  He gave clear and concise explanations accompanied by many interesting similes and stories, which greatly inspired us.

We thank both venerables for visiting Nalanda, and look forward to welcoming them to Malaysia again.  Sadhu!
