On Wednesday 13 January, Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar met with leaders of 16 non-Muslim religious groups from the state at his palace in Johor Bahru. At the meeting in Istana Bukit Serene, the Sultan asked the religious leaders about the development and welfare of their respective groups. Sultan Ibrahim also advised them to remain united and to respect one another’s beliefs.
The religious groups included the Malaysian Buddhist Association (Johor Branch), the Hindu Sangham, and the Malacca-Johor Catholic diocese.
