On 30 April, Nalanda members from all branches gathered at our ‘spiritual home’ in Nalanda Centre for the three-day 5th National Members’ Convention. It was the opportune time to officially open the newly-completed kitchen extension, which added valuable working space to our growing community.
The kitchen extension had been a missing component of Nalanda Centre, because it also doubles as a covered walkway between the new kitchen and the former one, thus providing a vital link to facilitate traffic flow.
Speaking at the launching of the kitchen extension, Nalanda founder Bro. Tan thanked members and devotees for their contributions to the Society, while working closely and harmoniously with one another over the years. He reiterated the importance of ‘Samaggi’ (unity and harmony) as a building block of a happy and progressive spiritual community.
We would like to thank all sponsors and donors of the kitchen extension project for creating more room for our volunteers, and thus helping to ease crowding during peak seasons where many activities are held at Nalanda Centre. Sadhu anumodana!
