Leadership exchange between Nalanda & Buddhist Fellowship youths

We appreciate the camaraderie of our fellow Buddhist leaders in coming to visit and learn together with us at Nalanda.

From 12 – 13 November, Nalanda Youth Centre hosted 4 leaders from Buddhist Fellowship Youth Singapore for two days of leadership exchange.  It was the maiden visit for the Singaporean youth leaders, and they were brought on an extensive building tour of Nalanda Centre to learn more about Buddhist history, culture and values that were embedded in its architecture and design.

Throughout the sessions and dialogues, the leaders learnt more about each other’s organisation, approaches and efforts to bring the Buddha-Dhamma to young adults.  They also shared the challenges and opportunities that each organisation faced and discussed strategies that could be implemented.

The exchange concluded with a session with Nalanda President Sis. Buddhini Tan, and Director of Training & Enhancement Centre Sis. Paru who shared their experiences and perspectives on Buddhist youth leadership.  We thank our young comrades from across the Causeway for this enriching exchange and wish them success in their endeavours to prolong the Buddha-Sāsana.
