The school holiday season is here again.  If you are looking for opportunities for your child(ren) to learn and experience Dhamma, consider registering them in one of Nalanda’s learning camps in November and December.

Nalanda Dhamma School has been organising many inspiring camps for teenagers and children over the past 12 years.  We are offering several programmes this holiday which encourage students to learn essential knowledge, moral culture, and wholesome values to help them develop holistically throughout life.

Many of the learning camps are very popular with parents and children, and thus get filled up pretty fast.  We encourage you to register early if you’re interested to send your child(ren) to one of our camps.  The details of each camp are found under their individual headings.  Thank you!

Teenagers’ Dhamma Camp – “Connect Within”

30 November – 3 December | Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang

“Connect Within” – an inspiring camp for teenagers aged 13 to 17.  The purpose of this camp is to inculcate faith in the ‘Three Jewels’ and to establish Right Understanding in their young minds.  Students will gain skills and knowledge rooted in the Dhamma through interesting talks, group activities, interactive sessions, and quiet meditation.

Kedah Dhamma Camp – “Right Friendship”

8 – 11 December | NEO Centre Sungai Petani

How can we establish friendships that help us grow healthily and happily throughout life?

Find out how this skill can become an invaluable asset through interesting talks, dynamic activities, interactive sessions, and quiet meditation in this camp.

Teenagers aged 12 to 15, especially those who reside in Sungai Petani, are welcome to join this uplifting camp.

Johor Dhamma Camp – “Dhamma through drama”

15 – 18 December | Pure Karma Buddhist Centre (新山净业精舍), Johor Bahru

Learning Dhamma is essential for healthy and holistic development of mind and character.  Nalanda Johor Bahru Branch Dhamma School will be organising its annual teenagers’ camp from 15 to 18 December, with the interesting theme “Dhamma through drama”.

The 4-day camp conducted in Mandarin is specially designed for teenagers aged between 13 and 17 to build their self-confidence.  Through dramatizing stories from Buddhist scriptures, participants will also get to know the noble qualities of our greatest teacher the Buddha, and thereon ennoble their own characters with Dhamma practice.

Children Camp – “Blessings”

This camp themed “Blessings” aims to educate children to be grateful and appreciative towards all the things they receive in life.  Children aged 9 to 12 are welcome to join this wholesome camp.

Kelantan Dhamma Camp

8 – 11 December | Wat Prachumthat Chanaram, Tumpat

Nalanda Dhamma School, Dhammarakkhita Group, Mettārama Meditation Centre, and Persatuan Peranakan Cina Kelantan are co-organising this learning camp for teenagers aged 13 to 17.  Themed “Mangala Sutta”, participants will discover ways to gain the highest blessings in life by understanding and practising Dhamma.
