Learning & fellowship for young working adults

Bro. Kong Foo shares his experience in building meaningful connections.

On Tuesday 18 February, Young Working Adults group of Nalanda Youth Centre came together for their monthly gathering, a support group to draw strength from the Buddha-Dhamma to overcome work-life challenges.

The programme began with youths exchanging perspectives and experiences with each other. Through these shared stories, they not only gained practical advice but also developed deeper connections, strengthening their sense of community and mutual support.

The programme starts with a short sitting to calm the mind.

Bro. Lee Kong Foo then shared on the topic “Qualities and Traits that Make Us Receptive to Learning, Growth, and Meaningful Connections.” He emphasised the importance of cultivating humility, resilience, and reflection in our daily lives. These qualities, he explained, not only help us learn and grow but also enable us to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with those around us. His words resonated deeply, inspiring us to approach life with a learner’s mindset and a heart full of compassion. Sādhu anumodanā!
