Leaving for camp in Johor Bahru

The customary handing of flag to student captains.

Bro. Tan, Dhamma School Director Sis. Sunanda, Sis. Sugandha, Bro. Willie together with the youths and teenagers for the customary handing of flag to student captains early this morning.

Early this morning, 20 Nalandian youths and Dhamma School students gathered for chanting at Nalanda Centre before leaving for Johor Bahru to help conduct a 3-day Dhamma camp for teenagers there.  This trip is a wholesome start to their year-end school holidays as it promises much learning and community service.

December is a peak learning month at Nalanda with several Dhamma camps lined up, workshop and retreat for teachers, and culminating in the Dhamma School Honours Days on 31 December.

Bro. Tan advised everyone to maintain mindfulness, vigilance and loving-kindness throughout the trip and camp.

Over the years, the School has produced skillful students who are able to assist their teachers in organising and conducting educational camps.  We wish them a safe journey to J.B. and back, and a wonderful time there learning and serving.  Sadhu anumodana!
