Members unite in moving forward

Sis. Buddhini, President of the Society, presents to members the plan for the coming months leading up to Nalanda’s 20th Anniversary.

On Sunday 6 November, Nalanda members from Sri Serdang and Kuala Lumpur Branches gathered at Nalanda Centre for Members’ Day, starting with a joyous welcoming for new members as we rejoiced in their spirit of learning and service.

Leaders of the Society then briefed members on upcoming programmes and received undivided support to adapt some events to changing conditions. The unity of the members was encouraging, as we put the interests of the Society and the larger community first and foremost.

Sis. Buddhini presents the Society’s Constitution to the new members in a simple ceremony.

Bro. Eek Chon provides an update on the redevelopment of NEO Centre KL, its upcoming Officiating Ceremony and thanks everyone for their support.

Sis. Nandini shares with members the programmes at Wisdom Park.

Everyone then worked together to prepare over 130 packs requisites which were offered by devotees to the Mahā Sangha on 13 November. To conclude the meeting, Bro. Tan Siang Chye advised us to persevere in our spiritual aspirations and wholesome service to Buddha-sasana; its lasting and positive impact on our lives will bring much joy and peace.

Members work together to carefully pack the requisites to be offered on Sangha Day.

Service is joyful when you have good friends supporting you.

Bro. Siang Chye shares that when we are oriented towards certain practices and way of life, we will not fall far from that preference.

Members rejoice in the opportunities to continue their learning and service to the community.
