The Nalanda Art Exhibition ‘A Journey of Self Discovery’ is now open at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang. The exhibition will run for 3 days from today until Sunday (4 – 6 October) from 10am to 8pm daily. The official launching ceremony and tea reception is on Saturday 5 October, at 3pm. Admission to the Art Exhibition is free, and everyone is welcome!
Participating Artists
25 well-known contemporary Malaysian artists are showcasing their original artworks at the exhibition. They include Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Datuk Sharifah Fatimah Zubir, Bibi Chew, Cheong Laitong, Jailani Abu Hassan, Noor Mahnun Mohamad, Cheah Yew Saik, Chong Siew Ying, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Kho Choon Lee, Jolly Koh, Pam Lim, William Mok, Chuah Siew Teng, Eston Tan, Kow Leong Kiang, Marvin Chan, Khairul Azmir Shoib, Ng Foo Cheong, Raphael Scott Ahbeng, Samsudin Wahab, Shia Yih Ying, Siund Tan, Lee Kong Chin, and the very young but extremely talented Lim Hui-Lin.
Producing a special documentary on Buddhism
The collectible artworks on exhibition are open for sale, and the proceeds used for the production of a special documentary – “A Journey of Self Discovery” – chronicling a truth-seeker’s pilgrimage through India and his realisation of the Buddha’s original teachings.
