It was a simple but significant occasion to pay tribute to the life and contributions of a humble monk who stood as a beacon of inspiration to the Buddhist community, illuminating the world with his wisdom and compassion.  Over 80 years, the late Venerable Master dedicated his life to propagating the Dharma and became a doyen of Humanistic Buddhism through the founding of Fo Guang Shan, Taiwan and the Buddha’s Light International Association.

Nalanda Buddhist Society Malaysia stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters at Fo Guang Shan in paying tribute to a great monk, teacher and humanitarian.  Let us all dedicate merits to the late Ven. Master Hsing Yun – may he attain the bliss of Nibbāna and be liberated from Suffering.  Santī, Peace.
