On Sunday 5 January, Nalanda youths gathered at their future ‘headquarters’ to perform spring-cleaning. The youths started with a group chanting.  Then, with brooms, mops, and cloths in hand, everyone started their ‘cleanathon’ in earnest.

The proposed “Nalanda Youth Centre” will become an activity hub for our young Buddhist leaders and undergraduates.  The Centre will have a Shrine Hall, two training rooms, a Youth Library, and an office.  It is slated for completion in late March, after 3 months of renovation. The official opening of the Youth Centre is scheduled for 1 May 2014.
