Nalandians attend ‘Dāna’ at Mangala Lodge

A large number of Subang Jaya Buddhist Association and Nalanda members visited Mangala Lodge.

On Friday 8 May, scores of Nalandians led by President Sis. Evelyn Chow visited Kampar, Perak, to witness the consecration of Buddha-Altar at Mangala Lodge.  Venerable Nyanaramsi Maha Thero, Abbot of Subang Jaya (Buddhist Association) Vihāra, presided over the meaningful and joyful ceremony.

Present at the event were Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan, Dharma School Director Sis. Sunanda, Nalanda Institute Director Ach. Tan Siang Chye, President of Theravada Council Bro. Chim Siew Choon, Nalandians, members of Subang Jaya Buddhist Association (SJBA), lecturers and students of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), and residents of Mangala Lodge.

Mangala Lodge Trustee Bro. Koh Lai Huat welcomed everyone to the ceremony and thanked them for supporting the establishment of Mangala Lodge Buddhist House, which aims to reach out to serve future leaders of the Buddhist community.  The congregation later offered robes and lunch dāna to Sangha members, and dedicated merits to all beings.  Sadhu anumodana.
