Early this morning, 2 groups of Nalandians set out from Sri Serdang to spend a wholesome weekend in the northern and southern states of Malaysia, respectively. From 6.30am, Nalanda Centre was already teeming with over 100 devotees gathered for morning chanting before they started their journeys to Sungai Petani and Johor Bahru.
Nalanda founder Bro. Tan is leading a study group up north to Bujang Valley, Kedah to visit a few essential archaeological sites which are among the oldest and most important in Southeast Asia. The study group comprises students of the on-going BPS403 Higher Certificate in Buddhist Studies and Dhamma School for Adults.
The second group, led by Nalanda President Sis. Evelyn, is headed down south to support and participate in the ‘Family Fun Fair’ at Nalanda Johor Bahru Branch. The Fair, which starts at 8am tomorrow (Sunday, 15 September), aims to raise funds for community education programmes such as Dhamma School and Free School in J.B. We invite you to join us for fun day out tomorrow and contribute towards a good cause.
We wish the 2 groups safe travels, and an inspiring experience learning and serving with good friends. We also wish everyone who is travelling during this long weekend, safe journeys.
