He reported that the Centre is on schedule for completion in December this year, in time for the 4th Nalanda National Members’ Convention to be held in Sungai Petani and Alor Setar.
Bro.Tan expressed happiness in seeing the smooth progress of the building, and thanked branch members and the Building Committee for doing a wonderful job in monitoring the construction. He expressed confidence that NEO Centre SP will play a pivotal and invaluable role in spearheading Buddhist education in the Northern Region.
The 4,310-square feet Centre will have a Dhamma Teaching & Meditation Hall, a Buddhist reference library, rooms for visiting monks and teachers, management office, meeting room and kitchen. The fully-equipped Centre is projected to cost around RM750,000.
