Nalandians gather in Alor Setar to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a 'reunion' dinner.

On Saturday 28 February, Nalanda Sungai Petani Branch members held a “family gathering” in Alor Setar in conjunction with the Lunar New Year.  In his speech, Branch Chairman Bro. Seng Giap thanked all members for their support in carrying out the branch’s programmes.

Bro. Seng Giap also presented a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ and a souvenir to President of Gurun Buddhist Association, Mr. Khaw Kheng Hooi, and its Deputy President Bro. Tan King Leong, for kindly extending their welcome and hospitality to Nalandians in making use of their Association premises for meetings and training sessions in the past year.

It was a joyful gathering with much fellowship and a friendly quiz amongst the members to recollect the Nalandian Creed (i.e. the “Eight Core Values” and “Six Well-beings”).  The Sungai Petani Branch wishes everyone a fulfilling and meaningful year ahead with significant spiritual progress.
