On 18 and 19 January, Bro. Tan visited NEO Centre Johor Bahru and gave 2 insightful Dhamma talks over the weekend. It was his first visit to Johor since September 2013, and devotees were eagerly awaiting the opportunity to meet him and discuss the Dhamma. Also participating in the 2 sessions were our friends from Metta Lodge JB and Singapore.

Read moreOn Saturday 18 January, Nalanda Youths’ weekly Fellowship Undergraduate Network (F.U.N) session had a special workshop led by Mr. Tan Huat Chye with the topic “Team & Conflict Management”. The workshop provided us with a better understanding on the meaning of “team” and how to effectively manage conflicts as an individual and as a team. By practicing wisely the knowledge that we have acquired, this can assist us in our future group projects.

It was a joyful occasion as we witnessed the public cheerfully approaching the venerable monks to offer food and other allowable requisites with respect. Nalanda Youths aim to share and inspire the young trainees with the beautiful Dhamma during their next three months of weekly visits to Nalanda Centre Sri Serdang.
It is with deep respects that we announce the passing of a distinguished scholar in Buddhist and Pāli Studies, Professor-Emeritus David J. Kalupahana, on Wednesday 15 January 2014 in Hawaii. His funeral will be held on 21 January.
