The Buddhist Community Alliance (BCA) Dhamma School teachers and students had a wonderful get-together on Sunday, 25 August 2013 at Nalanda Centre. Friends from Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society, Seremban Sudhamma Buddhist Society, Sungai Long Buddhist Society and Nalanda Buddhist Society reunited for a day of joint Sunday Service and learning.
The day started at 9am with a joint Puja session. Bro. Tan Siang Chye gave a Dhamma Talk to the congregation entitled “Khanti – Patiently we progress” at Level 1, while Director of Nalanda Dharma School Sis. Sunanda Ong gave the BCA students another talk at Level 4. The students in their distinctive white, red, orange and purple uniforms mixed and mingled happily for games and lessons. In the meantime, their teachers had a separate session to compare notes and experience on how to improve our standards of teaching and enhance Buddhist education.
The BCA Committee, Dhamma Schools and other sections meet regularly to discuss issues of common concern. Member organisations are looking forward to expanding areas of cooperation and enhancing community service.
