Pindacāra at Seri Kembangan Market

Pindacāra at Seri Kembangan Market

The educational alms-round programme aims to educate the community on the proper way to support Buddhist monastics. It is held twice a month in Seri Kembangan and Kuala Lumpur.

On Saturday 16 May, the monthly educational ‘Pindacāra’ (monks going on alms-round) Programme at Seri Kembangan market was eagerly participated by devotees.  Members of the public were waiting patiently along the ‘Pindacāra’ route to offer food to Sangha members.  Our friendly ‘People Engagement’ team was also on hand to explain to the public at nearby eateries the meaning and significance of ‘Pindacāra’.

Devotees young and old learning to offer with joy, respect, and friendliness. Sadhu!

We thank the venerable monks from Sentul Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, volunteers and devotees for your support and participation in this wholesome programme.  May the merits accrued be shared with all beings.  Sadhu anumodana!

The venerables offer blessings for Nalanda volunteers after their alms-round at Seri Kembangan market.

NOTE :

The next alms-round will be held this coming Saturday, 20 June, 8.30am, at Seri Kembangan Jalan Besar market.  We welcome everyone to offer cooked vegetarian food to the monks on alms.
