Join us this coming Saturday 24 February, on the full-moon day of the month Māgha, for a special programme with Phra Thepsilaporn, fondly known as Ven. Tan Chao Khun Samai. We will start this auspicious day cultivating generosity in the morning pindacara led by Ven. Tan Chao Khun Samai at the O.U.G. market at 8.30am, and adjourn to Nalanda Book Café in Sri Petaling for a Dhamma chat. You may bring along cooked food and fruits for offering. All are welcome to join.
Ven. Tan Chao Khun Samai, hails from Laos and furthered his studies as a novice for six years at Wat Pathumwanaram, Bangkok. After being ordained as a monk at twenty, he continued his studies at Mahamakut Buddhist University and graduated in 1972. Together with Tan Acharn Boonyarith, a very well-known meditation teacher, he was sent to Sydney to help Dhammaduta Buddhist Mission in Australia.
Tan Chao Khun Samai assumed the position as the leader of the Dhammayutta Sangha in Australia and New Zealand in 1998. He currently serves as a spiritual advisor to the Dhammayutta Sangha Council, and is the Abbot of Wat Pa Buddharangsee in Leumeah, New South Wales.
