In the early morning of Saturday 7 June, Nalandians and devotes gathered at the Sri Petaling and Happy Garden markets to take part in the monthly ‘Pindacāra’ (monks going on alms-round).  We were grateful to welcome two monks from the Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Sentul to go on ‘Pindacāra’.

After the alms-round, Sis. Nandini Tan gave a Mandarin Dhamma talk at NEO Centre Happy Garden. In her sharing, Sis. Nandini reminded devotees to reflect on the meaning of chanting, and not just verbally reciting the verses.  The Pāli verses that we usually chant have very deep spiritual meanings that can benefit the practitioner if properly learned and understood.

After the Dhamma talk, devotees happily offered Lunch Dāna to the two Sangha members.  We would like to thank all Nalandians, volunteers and devotees for performing such meritorious deeds and contributing to the ‘Pindacāra’ programme. May the merits accrued be shared will all beings.  Sadhu anumodana!
