On 16 April, a South Korean ferry enroute to Jeju Island sank 20 km off the mainland. Even after hours of search and rescue, almost 300 passengers were still listed as missing in the cold sea waters by night fall. The majority of 476 passengers on board were high school students and their teachers on a planned tour to Jeju Island.
Let us pray that the missing passengers are safe and be rescued soonest! Let us also radiate thoughts of ‘metta’ to their worried families and loved ones. ‘Sabbe satta khemino hontu’ – May all beings be safe and secure!
