Prayers for Victims of the Philippines Typhoon Tragedy

Nalanda Buddhist Society conveys our deepest condolences to the people and government of the Philippines for the tragic loss of lives and property caused by Typhoon ‘Haiyan’.  Our thoughts, hearts and prayers go out to all the victims and the millions of Filipino people affected by this devastating storm.

In this time of great sadness, we stand in solidarity with the people of the Philippines facing this tragic circumstances.  The government of the Philippines, rescue workers and volunteers for making all possible efforts in providing aid and relief to the victims is commendable.  May the workers be successful in carrying out their respective tasks and be free from harm and danger. May the incredible resilience and faith of the Filipino people bring strength in facing this calamity.

We will be praying tonight for all the victims of this tragedy, as well as for their families.  May they remain strong and composed.  If you cannot join us here tonight, then we invite all of you to pray for those victims in your own homes, and in your own ways.  Let us with compassion, radiating loving-kindness to all affected by this tragedy.
