Reaching out with more ‘Care Bags’

Reaching out with more ‘Care Bags’

Nalanda volunteers visited ‘Bodhi Homecare’ which shelters over 50 children and elderly citizens.

On Saturday 20 July, Nalandians presented over 65 ‘Care Bags’ and supplies to the children and elderly of ‘Bodhi Homecare’ and ‘Wen Xin Old Folks Home’ in Cheras.  Rarely receiving visitors, the older residents chatted happily with our volunteers.  We were also inspired by the compassion of the caretakers who are fully committed to care for those less fortunate, but no less relevant.

This year, Nalanda Family Fun Fair is able to reach out to even more charitable homes due to the strong support of the community.  Sponsors of the ‘care bags’ have enabled provisions such as noodles, rice, fruits, towels, shampoo and clothes to reach those who cannot fend for themselves.  We express our gratitude for your support and rejoice over your generosity.

We thank all sponsors and volunteers for enabling supplies to reach those who need them most.

A special ‘Care Bag’ counter will be set up by Nalanda Youth Centre at this year’s Family Fun Fair, which will fall on Sunday, 28 July, from 9.00am to 4.00pm.  You may sponsor a ‘Care Bag’ at RM20 each, or buy suitable items at the Fair, and leave them at the special donation counter.  We look forward to welcoming you and your loved ones for a fun day out, while doing charity.  Thank you!
